Welcome

Hi, welcome. This is my blog. This is just to keep a record of how far we have come. It's not particularly intended to be public, but in a way I want to share my insights.I'm 13 years old and I myself, am very healthy. But, I don't want to see others suffer.I want to find a cure, but I can't do it on my own, in the future I want to run sort of a fundraiser.Ok, if you didn't know already, this blog is about cancer.Ok, let's talk cancer.Cancer isn't just one disease, and there are a number of different types of cancer. There is also a lot reasons these diseases can occur, some as we know, can be prevented for example the study that you get lung cancer from smoking or some sorts of skin cancer from the sun, so from not wearing sun screen. But, these are a couple, there are 200 types of cancer! So, it's very unlikely that we will find one pure cure for cancer, although I think all the cells are the same as each other, whatever type you have.Ok, let's talk about this blog, what's it about:
  • I will update you regularly on the research of finding a cure.
  • I will share different ways you can donate
  • I will post facts
  • Ways that studies suggest you can prevent the disease
Ok, so even though I say it's very unlikely we will find one pure cure, it's possible that we could find a cure for many. And I think and hope that this can be found in the next 10 years. We need to hope.

Ok, another thing, let's talk about some of the ways people suggest we can find a cure, the entire purpose of this blog what sort of research have we found. Here is one of the main topics:
  • DCA, if you, like myself have been researching, you may have heard of this.DCA is a drug which is an old drug and is therefore not patented. So, studies I think started in the period of 2007-2009, when a scientist in Canada gave rats tumors and gave them the drug.He noticed something amazing. The tumor size had decreased by a lot! But, this was rats.In 2010, the first human trials were conducted, being treated on patients suffering from brain cancer. The results were encouraging, but a lot of work is still needed to be done, and as far as I know, still is being done. This will be one of the topics I will update you regularly about.
I know this post was sort of rushed, I'm sorry about that.Usually I will be very detailed, but this is an introduction.

I hope you stay tuned and I hope together we can all stand up to cancer
-Jordan
